Andrew has written again to all levels of Government calling for a solution to the bridge crisis in Aberdeenshire. There are currently dozens of bridges across the Shire, many in West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine which are either partially or completely closed. Dozens more are in urgent need of repair. The closure of Park Bridge in particular along with bridges in the Mearns and Towie have had negative impact on communities. Aberdeenshire Council have estimated costs of around £80m to repair and replace the bridges in question but simply do not have the money to take action.
In his latest contribution to the discussions Andrew has called for MPs, MSPs and Councillors to work together to find a solution, using their influence at all levels of Government to source the funding from The Scottish Government to address these issues.
