Airport operators have called on the Scottish Government to stop passengers returning to Scotland paying more than twice as much for Covid-19 tests than those returning to England.
Commenting, Andrew said, “The discrepancy in Covid testing leaves Aberdeen Airport in another cliff edge scenario during a time where they should be supported at all costs.
“Rather than aid the recovery of airports like Aberdeen, the Scottish Government has once again failed the aviation sector with its ridiculous obsession to create barriers with the rest of the UK.
“Aberdeen Airport is doing everything it can to get through this turbulent period and this is yet another hammer blow to its efforts.
“The SNP Government must stop penalising north-east travellers and align itself with what is being done by the UK Government.”
Andrew has vowed to continue pressure on the Scottish Government in support of the aviation industry.
